This Privacy Policy explains how EPIC AI Incorporated, EIRL (“EPIC AI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects and uses information when you visit epicaihub.io (the “Site”). The Site is a research and writing project; it does not sell products, license software, or provide commercial services, and the information we collect reflects that limited purpose. Use of the Site is also governed by our Terms of Service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect a limited amount of information through normal operation of the Site:
Server logs and standard hosting data. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs technical information about visits, including IP addresses, browser type, device information, pages visited, and timestamps. This information is collected automatically and is used to maintain the security and performance of the Site.
Host-level visitor analytics. Our web host sets cookies (_tccl_visitor and _tccl_visit) that record visitor and visit identifiers for its standard analytics service. We have not installed Google Analytics, Jetpack Stats, or any other third-party analytics service, and we do not use the data collected by these host-level cookies for advertising, profiling, or behavioral tracking.
Security and performance cookies. Our content delivery network (Cloudflare) sets a bot-management cookie (__cf_bm) used to distinguish human visitors from automated traffic. Our host sets a session cookie (_scc_session) used for cache and session handling.
Contact form and email correspondence. If you contact us through our contact form or by email, we will receive whatever information you choose to provide (typically your name, email address, and the content of your message).
2. How We Use Information
We use the information described above only for the following purposes:
- To operate, maintain, and secure the Site.
- To respond to inquiries we receive.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not use information collected through the Site for advertising, profiling, or behavioral tracking beyond the limited host-level analytics described in Section 1. We do not send marketing communications of any kind, and we do not maintain a mailing list. The only communications you will receive from us are direct responses to inquiries you have initiated.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade information collected through the Site. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- With service providers that support Site operations (such as our hosting provider and content delivery network), under their standard terms of service.
- When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
- In connection with the protection of our rights, property, or safety, or the rights, property, or safety of others.
4. Cookies
The Site sets a small number of cookies as part of standard hosting operation:
__cf_bm(Cloudflare): bot management and security. Strictly necessary. Approximately 30-minute lifespan._scc_session(host): session and cache management. Strictly necessary. Session-scoped._tccl_visitor(host): visitor identification for host-level analytics. Approximately 1-year lifespan._tccl_visit(host): visit identification for host-level analytics. Session-scoped.
We do not set advertising, retargeting, or third-party analytics cookies. Most browsers allow you to control or block cookies through their settings. Blocking the security and session cookies may affect Site functionality; blocking the analytics cookies will not affect your ability to read content.
5. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and you should review their privacy policies separately.
6. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy or as required by applicable law. Server logs and hosting data are retained according to our hosting provider’s standard practices. Contact form submissions and email correspondence are retained as needed to respond to and follow up on inquiries.
7. International Data Transfers
The Site is operated by EPIC AI Incorporated, EIRL, a company organized under the laws of the Dominican Republic. Our hosting provider, content delivery network, and other service providers may be located in the United States or other countries. By using the Site, you understand that information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding personal information we hold about you. These may include, among others, the rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, and the right to portability. To exercise any rights available to you under applicable law, contact us at contact@epicaihub.io. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
